Fixed Price Contract
Fixed Price model is suitable for projects with well defined requirements and schedules. This model is suitable when your need is clearly specified in sufficient detail at the outset. ICVDM estimates the project scope, and creates a fixed price proposal, a schedule and a fixed set of tasks we wil perform. Within this pricing model, ICVDM ensures delivery of the final product within an agreed upon timeframe and the customer pays a mutually agreed upon fixed price for the project implementation.
An advantage of the Fixed Price model is that it allows customers to determine the project budget in advance. However, as opposed to the Time & Materials model, Fixed Price contracts are not as flexible. Changes and additional features will increase the costs if they are requested. Any requirement changes or new feature requests that the customer makes during the production process will initiate a re-negotiation of the timeframe and pricing.
Time & Materials Contract
When the project scope, specifications or delivery methods cannot be clearly defined at the outset or if changes and dynamic flexibility is required during the production process, the Time & Materials model is the best solution. This offers the flexibility of changing workloads within the ICVDM development team to address changing requirements of fast moving projects. Using the Time & Materials option, ICVDM offers the use of all available resources on an on demand basis. The development effort is billed at the end of every month based on the pre-negotiated and mutually agreed hourly rate. The final project cost is determined by the amount of time and resources invested.
The Time & Materials model offers a high degree of flexibility to alter specifications, accommodate unplanned activities rapidly, and adjust resources based on your changing requirements throughout the process. ICVDM also provides you with the flexibility to switch to the Fixed Price model once the project scope becomes clearly defined and the requirements are firmed up.
